This was the most positive experience I have ever had with having braids done on my hair! I waited an entire two weeks before submitting a review beca...use I wanted to see how well the braids held up. Shay has delicate hands and she makes sure to make recommendations based on your hair health. I was supposed to get lemonade braids and then we switch to knotless braids but then as she started working with my hair, she realize that my hair was too delicate to hold those type of braids. I ended up getting small box plants, and I must say I am beyond elated with how they look. I have very fine, thin hair along with alopecia. The braids were not tight and they do not pull at all. I had an appointment scheduled for 10:30 this morning. I arrived early...Shay didn't show up at all. I called but of course got no answer and no retur...n call. She was also a no show for a friend of mine previously so this is not a one time occurrence.If you expect to have clients then it's a good idea to show up to an appointment that you accepted and confirmed. Very unprofessional, rude and a waste of my time. I won't be returning. Show more

Ashlee I am truly apologetic about this mishap. I honestly didn’t think I booked your appointment for New Year’s Day. I 100% thought I booked it for Sunday. I’ve been with my family all day. I wholeheartedly had no idea I had an appointment today. I called and texted you and I understand if you don’t want to communicate with me. I’ve been doing your hair for a year in a half now and you know my character. I do remember your friend whom I let know last year that I was having a difficult pregnancy. I do make mistakes. I wish I could make it up to you. I empathize with you because I know what it’s like to be stood up for an appointment. I typically don’t leave review, but I can’t help but share my experience. I have been searching for someone reliable to do my hair for a while now. I’...ve paid people for styles and got what they wanted to give. Today, I had had the privilege to sit in Shay’s chair. What a blessing! We almost had to postpone the appointment due to her dedication to get her first client right, but by the grace of God Shay finished her appointment and texted to say “I can still do you hair today”. She kept me posted on her status and even refunded the deposit when she thought she couldn’t fulfill my appointment. Very apologetic and truthfully her willingness to communicate is what made me decide I was going to get my hair done by her even if it had to be another day. I’ve never felt so comfortable, to the point that I decided she will be the only person in my head. You did your thing in my head and I’m very picky.
